When it comes to hardwood flooring, we've seen done, and do it all. At Insight Hardwood Coatings we do complete install from new flooring and stairs, complete restoration with sanding and finishing, and provide cleaning and maintenance.

With our maintenance, we call it "recoating," but you might as well call it a 'brand new floor.' Regardless of the surface, the results are simply outstanding.

At Insight Hardwood Coatings, we provide a comprehensive solution to revitalize and protect your hardwood surfaces. Our process begins with a no-obligation complimentary estimate. We will briefly assess your concerns and hopes for your floors, keeping in mind that your time is valuable. We also assess your floor's condition and measure its square footage. We take note of any repairs or concerns you may have and consider any previous cleaning products used on your floors. This ensures a seamless finish and a beautiful final product.

After our brief consultation, you will be provided with a clear and concise estimate. We will never pressure you to buy or "act now" because we personally find such tactics annoying. We pride ourselves on being upfront and transparent, using the industry's most respected practices and products.

In most cases, you will be quoted a price for a screen and recoat with the finish and sheen of your choice. In some cases, if the floor is suspected or known to have been cleaned with the wrong products, you could be quoted a price to have a deep cleaning performed using cleaning agents and techniques specifically designed to strip the floor of contaminants for recoat purposes. After cleaning the floor with the anti-contaminants treatment, we can then complete the screen and recoat process using the finish and sheen of your choice. In either case, your floor can be completed in one day in most cases. However, in some cases, you could be told that your floor is not a good candidate for a maintenance coat. The truth is, some floors are too far gone to benefit from a maintenance coat and need a complete resand and finish.

Unfortunately, the reality is that hardwood floor sanding and finishing companies often focus on sanding floors and may try to upsell customers into complete sanding and finishing.
